The Parents Pledge is one of the longest lasting Rights a person can undertake.
It is a lifelong commitment to a Child, The Spirit and the Church, to always do your very best for the child. A commitment that does not end when the child becomes an adult.
The Parent’s Pledge is as follows:
Spirit,
This is the soul of ______.
I vow to do my best to teach him/her of You and your loving grace.
I vow to put his/her needs above mine in all things so that he/she may see a small fraction of your love for him/her.
I vow to teach him/her discipline so he/she may learn to adhere to your ways.I vow to show him/her love and forgiveness as you always show love and forgiveness to us.
I vow to do my best to protect him/her from the evils of the world, by teaching him/her of you.
I vow to do my best to hold his/her hand through everything as he/she grows into an adult so he/she will learn that you will always be there when he/she needs you.
